With a strong focus on culinary excellence and customer satisfaction, Outback Steakhouse is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and energetic work environment where team members can grow professionally and contribute passionately to the restaurant's success.
The role of Culinary Manager at Outback Steakhouse is pivotal to ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, managing the 'Back of House' team, and upholding the high standards the brand is known for. This position calls for an experienced and motivated professional who can skillfully blend the art of food preparation with the practical demands of business management. Culinary Managers oversee daily kitchen activities to guarantee that each dish meets strict quality and presentation standards, all while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient cooking environment. They serve as leaders and mentors, driving their teams to perform at their best and supporting career development opportunities.
In this capacity, the Culinary Manager works closely with other members of the restaurant management team to coordinate staffing, manage inventory, and uphold health and safety regulations. Leadership duties also extend to recruiting new team members, training them effectively, and providing ongoing guidance to hourly employees to help them achieve their professional milestones. Additionally, Culinary Managers play a crucial role in enhancing guest satisfaction by promptly responding to feedback and fostering a memorable dining experience.
The position offers a dynamic work schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates for this role should be at least 21 years old and possess a minimum of one year of restaurant management experience. Preference is given to those with leadership experience in full-service restaurant environments and relevant food safety certifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and willingness to relocate locally for career advancement are also valued attributes.
Compensation for the Culinary Manager role varies by location, with the potential for performance-based bonuses contingent on eligibility and other business factors. Working at Outback Steakhouse provides the opportunity to join a committed team within a supportive, inclusive workplace culture aimed at continuous career growth and success. The company is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, upholding diversity and inclusion across all aspects of employment. This role represents an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about food quality and team leadership in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
