Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a renowned full-service restaurant brand known for its hearty, high-quality meals and inviting Australian-themed atmosphere. Established as a leader in casual dining, Outback Steakhouse emphasizes delivering an exceptional guest experience with a focus on quality food, warm hospitality, and a vibrant culture. As part of the Bloomin' Brands family, Outback Steakhouse blends traditional and innovative culinary methods to craft memorable dining moments for guests across the nation. The company fosters a supportive work environment dedicated to career growth, inclusion, and continuous learning, creating opportunities for team members to thrive personally and professionally.

As a Culinary Manager at Outback Steakhouse, you play a central role in the restaurant's success, functioning as the guardian of kitchen operations and the leader of the 'Back of House' team. This full-time position offers a dynamic, hands-on leadership experience where you oversee the preparation and execution of signature menu items like the Bloomin' Onion and center-cut sirloin, ensuring every dish consistently meets the brand's high standards for taste, presentation, and hygiene. The position requires balancing the art of culinary excellence with the operational, financial, and administrative responsibilities necessary to run a successful restaurant kitchen.

In this role, you will work closely with other managerial staff to manage daily kitchen operations, optimize employee performance, enforce safety and sanitation protocols, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen facility. You are tasked with managing talent acquisition by recruiting, interviewing, and training new team members to uphold Outback's culture of excellence. Additionally, mentoring hourly kitchen staff helps accelerate their professional development and build a high-performing team. Coordinating schedules ensures that the kitchen can efficiently handle high-volume shifts while maintaining food quality and service speed.

The Culinary Manager also plays a pivotal role in customer satisfaction by monitoring food quality and presentation closely and swiftly addressing any guest feedback to enhance brand loyalty and promote a premier dining experience. Beyond internal operations, you will represent Outback Steakhouse within the local community through marketing and outreach, contributing to the business's growth and reputation.

Outback Steakhouse values diversity and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing fair employment consideration to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other legally protected characteristic. Compensation varies by location and includes potential performance-based bonuses, reflecting the importance of both individual and business success. Comprehensive benefits and a supportive work culture make this an excellent opportunity for culinary leaders eager to advance their careers in the hospitality industry.
