Job Description
Outback Steakhouse is a renowned casual dining restaurant specializing in Australian-themed cuisine, widely recognized for its warm hospitality, quality ingredients, and a menu that features signature dishes like the Bloomin' Onion and center-cut sirloin. Established as part of Bloomin' Brands, a global restaurant company, Outback Steakhouse has built a reputation for delivering a memorable dining experience that combines delicious food with a welcoming atmosphere. The brand emphasizes a culture of inclusivity, career growth, and operational excellence, aiming to provide guests with conscientious service and consistently high-quality meals. The company is committed to maintaining a superior dining environment, embedding a sense of community involvement, and fostering employee development.
As a Culinary Manager at Outback Steakhouse, you will be at the heart of the kitchen operations, serving as the leader of the "Back of House" team. This role is designed for a dedicated professional who can expertly balance the art of food preparation with the business mechanics of running a successful restaurant. You will ensure that every dish, from the iconic Bloomin' Onion to perfectly cooked center-cut sirloin, meets the rigorous standards set by the brand while fostering a high-energy and supportive environment for your team. Your responsibilities include working closely with other management team members to oversee daily kitchen shifts, maintain cleanliness and food safety standards, and ensure an exceptional guest experience that results in loyal diners and repeat business. This is a leadership position that not only involves operational oversight but also talent management, including recruiting, interviewing, training, and mentoring culinary staff to achieve professional growth and deliver excellence consistently.
This role offers a dynamic and rewarding career opportunity within a respected restaurant chain, with a diverse schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the demands of the hospitality industry. The position encourages an openness to internal career advancement, including the possibility of relocating within the local region to expand your professional opportunities. Compensation varies by location and includes the potential for performance-based bonuses, which reflect the company’s commitment to rewarding dedication and success. Benefits are robust, including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, along with a 401k retirement savings program, highlighting the company's focus on employee well-being and long-term financial security.
Joining Outback Steakhouse means becoming part of an inclusive workplace culture that values safety, quality, community engagement, and the professional development of its team members. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to fair employment practices regardless of a wide range of personal characteristics. This inclusive philosophy ensures that all employees and candidates are respected and valued in their roles, fostering a sense of belonging that enhances team collaboration and guest satisfaction. As Culinary Manager, you will play a critical role in upholding these values while driving operational success and delivering memorable dining experiences every day.
