Job Requirements
- Valid Food Safety/Food Handler's Certification
- Smart Serve Certification or provincial equivalent
- Several years of professional chef experience
- Experience in supervisory or leadership roles
- Post-secondary education in culinary management or related field
- Strong computer skills
- Familiarity with budgeting and cost control
- Ability to obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Ability to work under pressure
- Commitment to staying updated on culinary trends
Job Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in culinary management or related field
- Several years of professional chef experience with progression through kitchen roles
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in culinary settings
- Food Safety/Food Handler's Certification
- Smart Serve Certification or provincial equivalent
- Strong computer skills for inventory and menu planning
- Familiarity with budgeting, cost control and inventory management
- Red Seal Certification is an asset
- Experience in retirement living is an asset
- Ability to build positive relationships and communicate clearly
Job Duties
- Recruit, train and oversee a team of culinary and service professionals
