Times Supermarket is a well-established grocery retail chain based in Hawaii, known for delivering quality food products and exceptional customer service to the local communities it serves. With multiple store locations across Oahu, Times Supermarket emphasizes a family-friendly environment where both employees and customers feel valued and supported. The brand continues to grow its footprint by blending traditional Hawaiian hospitality with modern retail practices. Times Supermarket is recognized for its commitment to employee development, offering a variety of benefits and opportunities for career advancement within the food service industry.

The Kitchen Manager position at Times Supermarket, specifically for the Royal Kunia and Kailua locations, plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of food quality, sanitation, and operational efficiency. This position is classified as exempt and offers a competitive starting hourly wage of $22.50, with a higher rate of $25.00 per hour at the Kailua location. The role requires a hands-on leader who is involved in every facet of the kitchen operations—including food preparation, training, customer service, and administrative tasks. A Kitchen Manager at Times Supermarket is expected to manage the back-of-house and front-of-house duties seamlessly, ensuring that all food items from grilled plate lunches to scratch-baked goods meet company recipe standards and customer expectations.

The Kitchen Manager's responsibilities extend beyond cooking; the role includes organizing product storage and rotation, enforcing sanitation protocols, and overseeing the training of new staff members such as cooks and servers. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking within a fast-paced environment. They will also handle administrative functions such as inventory management, routine ordering, and department communications. Given the physical demands and dynamic nature of the food service environment, the role requires the ability to lift heavy items and work various shifts including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours. This challenging yet rewarding position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a supportive atmosphere where professional growth is encouraged.

Times Supermarket offers a substantial benefits package designed to promote employee wellness and satisfaction. These benefits include flexible work hours, employee discounts, paid holidays including special considerations for birthdays, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, free life insurance, vacation and sick leave, and voluntary insurance plans like disability and cancer. Additionally, the company provides long-term disability, matching 401K retirement plans, and management bonuses for qualifying positions.
