The organization's goal is to not just serve seniors but to fulfill a meaningful calling by improving and enriching the lives of each resident through dedicated and diligent service.
Harcourt Terrace, a member of American Senior Communities, is currently seeking a skilled Culinary Manager to join its team. This full-time position offers competitive compensation with a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee wellbeing and professional growth. The Culinary Manager will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and presentation meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sanitation. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional dining experiences that contribute to the overall comfort and satisfaction of the residents. The ideal candidate will possess leadership expertise, culinary management experience, and a passion for fostering a nurturing and safe kitchen environment.
In the role of Culinary Manager at Harcourt Terrace, you will be expected to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Your culinary skills will be demonstrated through hands-on involvement with cooking, plating, and ensuring appropriate service standards throughout meal times. You will uphold and enforce adherence to food safety regulations, including obtaining and maintaining a valid ServSafe Manager’s Food Safety Certificate. Furthermore, the position demands a focus on promoting teamwork and creating an engaging atmosphere that supports not only the culinary excellence but also the comfort of the senior residents.
The position requires at least one year of experience in a similar culinary management role, complemented by a certification in a Dietary Manager Course or an associate’s degree in culinary or hospitality management. Harcourt Terrace champions the C.A.R.E. values in all employee interactions, fostering a workplace culture based on compassion, accountability, relationships, and excellence. This commitment extends to providing robust health and wellness benefits such as medical, vision, and dental insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, wellness coaching, and more.
American Senior Communities not only invests in its residents but also in its employees' career development, offering educational partnerships, mentorship programs, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for continued learning. The organization values work-life balance, offering holiday pay, paid time off (PTO), and employee discount programs designed to enhance the quality of life both inside and outside the workplace.
