Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience as Culinary Manager
  • Certification in a Dietary Manager Course or associate’s degree in culinary or hospitality management
  • Must have current and valid ServSafe Manager’s Food Safety Certificate
  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values: compassion, accountability, relationships, and excellence
  • Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Commitment to resident-focused food service

Job Qualifications

  • Certification in a Dietary Manager Course or associate’s degree in culinary or hospitality management
  • Proven leadership experience in culinary management
  • Strong skills in training and staff development
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Effective communication skills to lead and coordinate a kitchen team
  • Experience with scheduling and performance evaluations
  • Ability to create a positive and supportive kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Oversee all kitchen operations ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff focusing on safety, health, sanitation, and food preparation standards
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and schedule kitchen team members
  • Maintain compliance with ServSafe Manager’s Food Safety standards and other safety regulations
  • Foster a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents through excellent food service
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure consistent and resident-focused dining experiences
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate kitchen stock
