Job Description

Optimized Senior Living is a compassionate and dedicated senior care organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents across its various campuses. As a leading provider in the senior living industry, Optimized Senior Living emphasizes a resident-centered approach that prioritizes comfort, dignity, and meaningful daily experiences. The Fairfield campus, located in Fairfield, Ohio, is one of the organization’s welcoming communities where the team takes pride in offering a warm, home-like atmosphere for seniors. This commitment extends beyond accommodation and care, recognizing that nourishing and thoughtfully prepared meals play a central role in residents’ well-being and happiness. The company is known for its supportive working environment, fostering teamwork, creativity, and purpose-driven service among its staff.

The Culinary Lead role at Optimized Senior Living’s Fairfield campus is a unique opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about creating food that feels like home. This full-time position involves preparing delicious, restaurant-quality home-style meals designed to provide warmth, nutrition, and joy to senior residents. The Culinary Lead will not simply be cooking meals but enriching the daily lives of residents through food that is comforting and enjoyable. This role requires creativity in menu planning, attention to presentation, and a hospitality-oriented demeanor that values personal relationships with residents. The Culinary Lead will take pride in crafting meals from scratch, making sure every plate served not only meets dietary and nutritional standards but also feels inviting and personal.

In addition to cooking, the Culinary Lead will manage kitchen operations by maintaining food safety, sanitation, and proper inventory according to the Ohio Administrative Code Rule 3701-16-10 regulations. They will lead menu creation using Grove Menus, balance nutrition and variety, and ensure therapeutic dietary needs are met. This role demands excellent organizational skills for prepping food ahead of shifts and running an efficient kitchen that supports consistent, high-quality meal service. With a focus on lunch and dinner shifts on a stable, full-time schedule (five days a week, eight-hour shifts), the role offers a work-life balance often sought after in the culinary field.

The ideal candidate for this position thrives on cooking from scratch, values food quality and presentation, enjoys building rapport with regular diners, and embraces a hospitality-driven mindset. Experience in culinary arts, professional kitchens, hospitality, or dietary compliance is valued but the driving force behind success here is a genuine passion for food and a caring approach to serving others. This role distinguishes itself from typical kitchen jobs by emphasizing meaningful interaction and consistent, heartfelt service rather than sheer speed or volume. Join Optimized Senior Living in Fairfield to become part of a warm team that cherishes the power of food to bring joy and comfort to daily life.
