Job Description

Optimized Senior Living is a leading provider of senior living communities dedicated to delivering exceptional care and enriching the lives of older adults. Located in Fairfield, Ohio, the Fairfield campus prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents can enjoy comfort, companionship, and excellent services tailored to their unique needs. As a company, Optimized Senior Living emphasizes quality of life through compassionate care, community engagement, and exceptional culinary experiences that nourish both body and spirit. The Fairfield campus is part of a broader network of Optimized communities, all striving to enhance senior living through innovative programming and highly trained staff. This establishment stands out for its commitment to providing homelike surroundings that promote dignity and joy for every resident.

The Culinary Lead position at Optimized Senior Living Fairfield Campus offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to take the helm of the kitchen and shape the dining experience for senior residents. This full-time role centers on preparing home-style, comfort food made from scratch while creating visually appealing meals that warmly resonate with the community’s tastes and preferences. The Culinary Lead plays a critical role in elevating mealtimes beyond mere nutrition, transforming dishes into meaningful moments that brighten residents' day. From skillfully planning menus using Grove Menus software to organizing kitchen operations and ensuring stringent compliance with Ohio dietary and sanitation regulations, this role blends culinary creativity with leadership and operational oversight.

The position emphasizes a balance between nutrition, variety, and therapeutic dietary requirements when planning and executing meals. The Culinary Lead will foster strong relationships with residents, learning their favorite dishes and accommodating individual dietary needs, thus serving food that feels personal and comforting rather than institutional. Beyond cooking, this role requires dedication to culinary hospitality — creating inviting dining presentations and ensuring meals are delivered with care whether in shared dining areas or residents’ rooms. A great fit for someone who loves cooking from scratch, values food quality and presentation, and enjoys building relationships in a stable, daytime schedule without late-night shifts. The role also invites creative input into menus and encourages the candidate to feel at home in a warm environment where their work significantly impacts residents’ daily happiness.

Offering a full-time schedule with five 8-hour shifts focused on lunch and dinner service, this job is ideal for a culinary professional seeking to make a genuine difference in the lives of seniors. Optimized Senior Living fosters a working environment where team members are valued, and food is seen as an act of care. The Culinary Lead position delivers a unique blend of creativity, service, and operational management within a supportive and meaningful work culture. If you are passionate about food and hospitality and want to contribute to a community focused on dignity and warmth, this role provides an enriching career path where your culinary talents will be truly appreciated and celebrated.
