Aramark is currently seeking a Food Service Worker to join their team. This role is central to the daily operations within the food service and hospitality sector of the company. The Food Service Worker will work under the supervision of a manager and is responsible for assisting in various tasks related to food and meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and ensuring compliance with high standards of kitchen sanitation and safety practices. The Food Service Worker plays a crucial role in sustaining the quality and safety of food production. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
  • Physical capability to perform lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment
  • Availability to coordinate closely with management

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certificate as needed
  • Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages
  • Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy
  • Connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
  • Supervise the food temperature requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
  • Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, ware washing
  • Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
  • Follow physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
  • Use of uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
