Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of culinary management experience with expertise in managing and writing prep lists
  • a valid driver's license is required for certain duties
  • experience in inventory management and financial control of kitchen operations
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle various temperature levels in the kitchen

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification
  • experience in culinary management with expertise in managing and writing prep lists
  • proven experience in team management with a focus on developing future leaders
  • skilled in training and executing effective culinary training programs
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • experience in an upscale scratch kitchen preferred
  • previous front of house restaurant management experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure operational excellence and high standards in the kitchen
  • delegate tasks and provide direction to kitchen staff
  • conduct interviews and select candidates for kitchen management and staff positions
  • orient and continuously develop sous chefs and kitchen staff
  • create work schedules for sous chefs and kitchen personnel
  • maintain safety certification standards for all kitchen staff
  • manage inventory and control overall kitchen financials
