Job Requirements
- 3+ years of culinary management experience with expertise in managing and writing prep lists
- a valid driver's license is required for certain duties
- experience in inventory management and financial control of kitchen operations
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle various temperature levels in the kitchen
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification
- experience in culinary management with expertise in managing and writing prep lists
- proven experience in team management with a focus on developing future leaders
- skilled in training and executing effective culinary training programs
- strong communication and organizational skills
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- experience in an upscale scratch kitchen preferred
- previous front of house restaurant management experience preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure operational excellence and high standards in the kitchen
- delegate tasks and provide direction to kitchen staff
- conduct interviews and select candidates for kitchen management and staff positions
- orient and continuously develop sous chefs and kitchen staff
- create work schedules for sous chefs and kitchen personnel
- maintain safety certification standards for all kitchen staff
- manage inventory and control overall kitchen financials
