We are currently seeking a full-time Culinary Executive or Kitchen Operations Manager to join our dedicated team. This leadership position is vital to maintaining the high operational and culinary standards that define P.F. Chang's. The salary range for this role, based on experience, is between $75,500 and $95,500 per year, reflecting the importance and responsibility of this position within the company.

The Culinary Executive or Kitchen Operations Manager plays a key role in overseeing all culinary operations within the kitchen to ensure seamless food service and exceptional quality. This individual will be responsible for managing the entire kitchen team, including hiring, training, and developing kitchen staff to build a highly skilled and motivated workforce. A strong focus is placed on maintaining operational excellence, safety compliance, inventory management, cost control, and quality assurance throughout the food preparation process.

Reporting directly to the Operating Partner or General Manager, this role requires a hands-on leader who can delegate appropriately while staying engaged with daily kitchen functions. Candidates must be adept at supervising sous chefs and kitchen personnel, creating effective schedules, maintaining health and safety certifications, and ensuring compliance with all health inspections. They will also be responsible for managing inventory levels, controlling kitchen financials, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be passionate about fostering teamwork and developing future leaders within the culinary staff. A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred, as is bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Experience in upscale scratch kitchens and prior front-of-house restaurant management experience will be viewed favorably.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of culinary management experience with expertise in managing and writing prep lists
  • a valid driver's license is required for certain duties
  • experience in inventory management and financial control of kitchen operations
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle various temperature levels in the kitchen

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification
  • experience in culinary management with expertise in managing and writing prep lists
  • proven experience in team management with a focus on developing future leaders
  • skilled in training and executing effective culinary training programs
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • experience in an upscale scratch kitchen preferred
  • previous front of house restaurant management experience preferred

Job Duties
