Its approach combines education, entertainment, and community engagement, creating an inviting and enriching atmosphere for both amateur cooks and seasoned food lovers.
Salt Lake Culinary Education seeks a Culinary Events and Client Experience Manager, a role that blends creativity, organization, and customer service expertise. This position is perfect for someone passionate about food and events who thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment. As a Culinary Events Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of culinary experiences. These range from interactive cooking classes to private dinners and team-building events, as well as overseeing off-site catering. The manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every event is executed flawlessly and leaves a lasting impression on participants.
This role demands exceptional communication skills and an eye for detail, as the manager will liaise with clients to tailor events according to their goals and preferences. They will also coordinate closely with the culinary team to align all logistical and operational elements, including scheduling, staffing, menu planning, and on-the-day event management. The position requires flexibility, including occasional evenings and weekends, to accommodate various event timings. Compensation is hourly, with additional commissions based on event bookings and successful coordination, providing a rewarding opportunity for those who excel in client engagement and event delivery.
Beyond the core responsibilities, the Culinary Events Manager will contribute to the growth and enhancement of Salt Lake Culinary Education’s event offerings by tracking client feedback and event outcomes to recommend improvements. This role is ideal for someone comfortable using modern scheduling and document management tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, with preferred skills including experience with WordPress, Canva, Mailchimp, and basic familiarity with invoicing systems like QuickBooks. The position typically averages 30 hours per week, with potential for full-time employment for the right candidate.
Other benefits of working with Salt Lake Culinary Education include paid time off, flexible scheduling, complimentary meals during events, and perks related to culinary classes. The company fosters a small team culture that encourages creativity and close collaboration with food professionals and chefs.
