The Culinary Director position at The Boulevard Senior Living in St. Peters, MO, is a full-time role offering a salary range from $69,680 to $92,040 annually, plus up to $4,000 in performance-based bonuses. This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm with one Sunday per month required for brunch service. As Culinary Director, you will lead the culinary department, ensuring exceptional five-star dining experiences for residents, managing food preparation standards, and creating innovative seasonal and mainstay menus based on resident preferences. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food quality, team leadership, and operational excellence, contributing to the positive and engaging environment that Arrow Senior Living is known for. This role requires active physical engagement including standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. The position also involves working mainly indoors with occasional outdoor event support. Maintaining excellent health and passing necessary screenings and clearances are mandatory for employment.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum three years experience in senior housing or related field preferred but not required
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
- Ability to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- Ability to work primarily indoors with some outdoor event responsibilities
- Good physical health verified by recent physician health screening
- Freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis annually
- Criminal background clearance
- Full-time employment with 30 plus scheduled hours
Job Qualifications
- Completed formal culinary, food service or restaurant training or equivalent full-time supervisory or management-level work experience
- Demonstrated leadership, training, and supervision skills
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with management and staff
- Comfortable creating, modifying, and printing documents using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to send, receive, and forward email communications
Job Duties
- Oversee the culinary department to ensure consistent, exceptional five-star service in both front and back of house
- Ensure food items are prepared to culinary standards while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
- Develop seasonal and mainstay menus utilizing fresh foods based on resident preferences and needs
- Lead and train kitchen staff while fostering a positive and professional environment
- Manage kitchen operations including inventory, food safety, and sanitation compliance
- Coordinate with management and support staff through proficient communication
- Participate in resident engagement activities such as Sunday brunch events
