The role of Food Service Manager is critical in supporting the vibrant lives of seniors and their families by delivering exceptional, dignified hospitality in premier senior living environments. This position offers a stable and rewarding schedule with an annual salary of $80,000 and is based in Texas with virtual working options. As a Food Service Manager, you will lead a dedicated team in providing excellent daily meal services while creatively transforming the dining experience to be a highlight of the community. Your responsibilities will include managing food service operations, collaborating with dietitians and chefs to develop menus that incorporate market trends and nutritional value, and leading initiatives that foster a positive work environment. You will be directly involved in enhancing the health, well-being, and joy of seniors through diverse food options, engaging culinary events, and partnerships with local vendors.

This role demands strong leadership, effective communication, and a passion for nutrition, along with a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential. Job Duties

  • Manage the food service department to provide excellent service and quality

  • Demonstrate continuous ability to maintain and/or improve customer and patient satisfaction through communication, integrity, and performance
  • Lead team member recruiting, training, development, scheduling, and assignments
  • Perform daily inspections and assessments and coach and counsel team members
  • Manage inventory, ordering, vendor relationships, planning, schedules, payroll, and supplies to ensure budget compliance
  • Implement team-building initiatives to create a positive and safe work environment
  • Drive compliance with health, safety, and industry regulatory agencies
