We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Executive Chef to join our esteemed culinary team. This role is integral to the hotel's commitment to culinary excellence and guest satisfaction. The Executive Chef will take full responsibility for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu development, food preparation, quality control, and team leadership. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a passionate kitchen staff, innovate dining experiences, and elevate our food and beverage offerings within a historic and upscale setting.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of culinary leadership, with extensive experience managing kitchen operations in a high-end hospitality environment. Employment with The Historic Davenport Hotel is full-time and offers competitive compensation in the range of USD 140,000 to USD 150,000 per year. Job Requirements

  • Four plus years kitchen management experience
  • five plus years cooking experience
  • college degree or certification in culinary or hospitality field preferred
  • good working knowledge of sanitation standards and food preparation
  • ability to understand and meet financial objectives
  • effective communication skills
  • proven leadership and team training abilities
  • willingness to lead by example
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 100 pounds
  • ability to work extended hours in varying temperatures
