Eventide Sheyenne Crossings Care Center, located in West Fargo, ND, is a well-established senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to its residents. The center is currently seeking a part-time Culinary Cook to join their team. This role works in the afternoon to evening shift from 3:45 PM to 7:45 PM and includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. The Culinary Cook will play a pivotal role in ensuring residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals that meet dietary needs and preferences. This position requires adherence to strict sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards while preparing and/or directing the preparation of food within the kitchen. The Culinary Cook must follow established food production programs and procedures, demonstrating expertise in standardized recipes and portion control, maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions, and ensuring overall dining satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include preparing meals per standardized techniques, managing the use of proper portion sizes, storing leftovers safely according to food handling standards, and operating kitchen equipment correctly and safely. Additionally, this role involves overseeing the entire dining experience, checking temperatures of food products and maintaining documentation, cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas, inventorying and ordering supplies, and organizing schedules to meet meal serving times. The ideal candidate will be proactive with staff interactions to address any immediate concerns, supervise catering events, and adjust workloads according to staffing needs.

- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- 1-3 years of previous culinary experience is preferred

Job Duties
- Prepares high quality meals according to standardized recipes and techniques
- Uses and directs the use of accurate portion control standards
- Ensures that sanitary conditions are maintained in the kitchen at all times
- Checks all menus daily in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared as needed
- Stores leftovers properly according to food handling standards
- Operates equipment in a correct, safe, sanitary and respectful manner
- Supervises the entire dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction of meal service
