Job Description
This is a full-time position in the Food and Beverage Department with variable and flexible working hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime as needed. It is a promotional opportunity. Benefits may be offered after successful completion of a sixty (60) day introductory period. The Cook is responsible for the preparation of food for guests, sanitation, upkeep of the food service/culinary department, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met, and providing quality service in all areas of food production.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- knowledge of Memphis and Shelby County health codes
- ability to bake and cook a variety of food
- some Catering or Banquet Food production experience
- understanding of proper food preparation techniques
- ability to handle money and cash transactions accurately
- skill to operate and clean restaurant equipment
- ability to work efficiently under pressure
- maintain confidentiality and objectivity
- organizational skills
- tactful and diplomatic communication
- some catering knowledge.
