Job Description
Levy is a distinguished company operating within the Food, Beverage, and Retail industry. Established 40 years ago in Chicago as a Delicatessen, Levy has evolved into a leading presence in the catering sector, serving more than 200 entertainment, sports, and restaurant venues across the United States. Levy is committed to delivering impeccable service and unforgettable dining experiences by leveraging creativity, customized strategies, and a true passion for exceptional food and hospitality. The company values diversity of thought and inclusion, fostering an environment where every employee is encouraged to contribute their unique perspective and talents. Levy is a member of Compass Group USA, a global leader in foodservice management, which supports a culture of fairness, equal opportunity, and support for all employees.
The position available offers competitive wages ranging from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. Applicants can enjoy perks like Instapay, allowing early access to wages, and benefits including high-interest savings through the EVEN app. Levy prioritizes employee growth by providing a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
This role is focused on providing visible culinary leadership within the Team Service Dining area, overseeing efficient and hospitality-forward employee dining experiences. As a culinary leader, the individual will ensure that the service aligns with Levy's core values of respect, kindness, and engagement, fostering a positive dining atmosphere. Key responsibilities include managing back of house operations during events and daily service, supporting team members with hospitality and operational guidance, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Operational oversight is a crucial part of the role, involving the management of culinary flow, inventory levels, and service execution in partnership with culinary supervisors. The leader will also maintain detailed operational checklists, ensure timely replenishment of food, beverages, and condiments, and address any maintenance or safety concerns that arise. Employee support and accountability form another essential aspect of this position, where coaching, communication, and respectful redirection keep the team aligned with work rules and performance standards.
The role also involves de-escalating conflicts when they occur and escalating unresolved issues to management promptly. Health, safety, and sanitation compliance are enforced rigorously, including thorough start-of-shift and end-of-shift cleaning duties. Overall, the position requires a dedication to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming dining environment for all employees.
Ideal candidates will possess at least one year of culinary experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Outlook, and the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. This job offers a path to professional growth and the opportunity to be a part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence in foodservice. If you are looking for a role that balances leadership, operational management, and hands-on culinary involvement in a dynamic company, Levy is eager to hear from you.
