Job Description
We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding restaurant group specializing in authentic Korean cuisine, with multiple locations dedicated to delivering high-quality dining experiences rooted in traditional and contemporary Korean culinary arts. Our establishments pride themselves on their commitment to excellence, cultural authenticity, and innovation, making us a sought-after destination for guests seeking unique and flavorful dining options. Our growing footprint across the region allows us to reach a broad audience, ensuring every patron enjoys a consistent and memorable culinary journey reflecting the rich heritage and evolving trends of Korean gastronomy.
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Regional Chef with a passion for Korean cuisine to lead and elevate our culinary operations across several locations. This full-time leadership role offers a competitive salary and the unique opportunity to shape and standardize menus, mentor talented kitchen teams, and optimize food cost management to support the financial health of each venue. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Korean culinary traditions, combined with innovative menu development skills and strong operational oversight capabilities.
The Regional Chef will be responsible for designing and seasonally updating menus that authentically represent Korean flavors while incorporating contemporary trends. By establishing standardized recipes, the chef will ensure that all locations maintain consistency in quality and presentation, delivering an exceptional experience for every guest. Additionally, this role entails rigorous food cost analysis and cost of goods sold (COGS) management, seeking to improve margins without sacrificing ingredient quality or culinary excellence.
Leadership is a key aspect of this position, where the Regional Chef will provide mentorship and training to Executive Chefs and kitchen staff across locations. This includes conducting workshops on traditional Korean cooking techniques, plating standards, and overall kitchen best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and culinary excellence. The Regional Chef will also perform regular kitchen audits and quality checks, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and inventory management best practices.
Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including vendors and location management teams, the Regional Chef will oversee ingredient sourcing and vendor relationships to ensure top-quality supplies at competitive prices. Furthermore, the role requires frequent travel between locations to provide hands-on leadership and foster strong communication channels across the regional kitchen teams.
In summary, this position calls for a creative, strategic, and hands-on culinary leader dedicated to elevating Korean cuisine within our multi-unit restaurant group. If you have a proven record in multi-location culinary management, a deep appreciation for Korean food culture, and a passion for mentoring chefs, this role offers an exciting and rewarding career path.
