Job Description

Hyatt is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences through caring and attentive associates. As a leader in the hotel industry, Hyatt operates a portfolio of luxury and upscale hotels, offering world-class accommodations, exceptional service, and memorable experiences to travelers around the world. Among its distinguished properties, Thompson Austin and tommie Austin stand out by blending luxury with unique local culture, art, and personalized guest experiences. These hotels offer a range of amenities including luxury guestrooms and suites, wellness centers, diverse dining options, flexible event spaces, and innovative facilities designed to enhance both leisure and business stays.

The Culinary Banquet Supervisor role at Hyatt is a pivotal position that blends leadership, culinary management, and guest service excellence within the banquet operations. This role reports directly to the Banquet Manager and Executive Chef, and oversees the day-to-day management of the banquet team, including hourly kitchen employees. The supervisor's primary responsibility is to ensure the production of high-quality food products that meet and exceed guest expectations, while efficiently managing banquet functions from set-up through service and clean-up. A strong focus is placed on maintaining Hyatt's high standards for cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency across all banquet spaces.

In this role, the Culinary Banquet Supervisor is also responsible for coaching and leading staff to achieve exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction. This entails inspecting banquet setups to ensure alignment with Banquet Event Orders, assisting and supervising the preparation and breakdown of banquet events, and monitoring key operational metrics like food quality, cost control, and payroll. The role demands flexibility and the ability to assume higher department responsibilities during the absence of senior management.

Hyatt values associates who demonstrate refined communication skills, strong leadership, a positive attitude, and a passion for teamwork. The Culinary Banquet Supervisor position requires physical stamina as it involves standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights. Hosts must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to align with the dynamic nature of banquet operations. This role offers a unique career opportunity within a supportive environment that emphasizes professional growth, job enrichment, and work-life balance.

Hyatt's commitment to its employees is reflected in its comprehensive rewards and benefits package, which includes a range of health and welfare plans, financial wellbeing programs such as 401(k), college savings plans, employee stock purchase options, and lifestyle benefits. Employees enjoy paid time off encompassing vacation, holidays, and sick leave, as well as paid family bonding time and adoption assistance. Additional perks include discounted and complimentary stays at Hyatt properties worldwide, free meals during shifts, and access to well-being and educational assistance.

Choosing a career with Hyatt means joining an organization dedicated to diversity and equal opportunity, where all qualified candidates are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to memorable guest experiences within a vibrant team, the Culinary Banquet Supervisor position offers an enriching path forward.
