TowerLight Senior Living, situated in historic St. Louis Park, Minnesota, is a distinguished community dedicated to providing exceptional senior care. Our community encompasses 115 beautifully appointed Independent Living Apartments, alongside innovative Assisted Living Apartments, state-of-the-art Memory Care, and Enhanced Care Suites. We are currently seeking a Culinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. This part-time role is pivotal in ensuring our residents enjoy delightful dining experiences in a clean, inviting environment. The position involves meal service in the dining room as well as to-go meal delivery, helping to meet residents' diverse dietary needs with care and professionalism. The Culinary Assistant will work 21 hours every two weeks during afternoon shifts from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, with a block schedule alternating between five-day and two-day workweeks, including rotating weekends and holidays. This schedule supports flexibility while ensuring continuous coverage to maintain outstanding dining services.
As a Culinary Assistant, your responsibilities will include serving meals according to schedule and procedures, offering residents meal choices aligned with their dietary requirements, and adhering to strict safety and sanitation standards to promote health and wellness. You will be trained to become proficient with the EMenu System, enhancing service efficiency and restaurant-style dining experiences. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and ensuring all dishware is sanitized and properly stored before the end of shifts will be essential duties. Our Culinary Assistant also plays a critical role in fostering positive resident relations by warmly welcoming residents, accommodating special requests, and attentively listening to feedback or complaints to ensure resident satisfaction and comfort. Reporting issues to the Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate ensures continuous improvement and high-quality care.
