Job Requirements
- Possession of a valid and appropriate CTE Credential or enrollment in credential program
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Experience or willingness to teach culinary arts at the high school level
- Capability to supervise students during various school activities
- Completion of supporting documents including cover letter, resume, transcripts, credentials, and three letters of recommendation
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and professional growth
- Willingness to comply with district policies and non-discrimination requirements
Job Qualifications
- Valid California CTE Credential or equivalent
- Ability to develop effective lesson plans and instructional materials
- Experience teaching or internship in culinary arts education preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain classroom discipline and create a productive learning environment
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
- Willingness to collaborate within a diverse educational community
Job Duties
- Teaches culinary arts classes in grades 9-12
- Develops instructional plans and lesson materials tailored to student needs
- Evaluates student academic progress and maintains records
- Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress
- Supervises students during non-instructional periods and school activities
- Participates in curriculum development and faculty committees
- Coordinates work of aides, assistants, and volunteers
