The Training Specialist Senior - CTT/Electronic Warfare Supervisor (EWS) Tactical Trainer role at GDIT is a pivotal position that supports the Surface Combat Systems Training Command Detachment San Diego (SCSTC Det SW) and the Reconfigurable Trainer (RCT4). This role is integral to preparing division officers and department heads for the operation and tactical employment of the SLQ-32(V)6 Electronic Warfare System and its associated equipment and interfaces. The position requires a high level of expertise in electronic warfare systems, particularly those integrated with Aegis BL9 combat systems and related technologies such as BEWT, SEWTT, GALE, JTT-M, SLA-10, SSX-1, and DLS.

The Training Specialist Senior will lead, manage, and support technical instruction and tactical training, emphasizing hands-on scenarios built from Navy-wide operational tasking and best practices. This includes evaluating watchstander performance related to hardkill/softkill integration, sensor and weapons employment tactics, and communications at the EW-Supervisor Watch Station. Besides direct training delivery, the specialist may contribute as a subject matter expert to curriculum development, ensuring courses remain current and effective in preparing naval personnel.

Candidates are expected to hold a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree and possess at least seven years of experience as a CTT qualified SLQ-32(V)6 Electronic Warfare Operator and Supervisor. Of these, at least one year must include experience as an instructor within a Navy training environment, with skills in public speaking, curriculum maintenance, learning objective development, test preparation, and student counseling. Additional experience in writing engagement doctrine and mission planning related to Soft-Kill Weapons Systems (SKCS) is valuable. Preferred qualifications include prior instructor roles at SCSTC, ATRC, TACTRAGRU PAC/LANT, or SMWDC, along with Master/Afloat Training Specialist qualifications.

The position requires U.S. citizenship and a Secret security clearance, along with physical ability to support extended periods of instructional activity. Occasional travel up to 10% may be necessary. The salary range for this role is approximately $72,250 to $97,750, with compensation determined by experience, location, and contract specifics.
