This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of customer interaction and service delivery that the company upholds.
The Customer Service Rep/Station Attendant at Tornado Bus Company is responsible for ensuring that all passengers receive information and assistance in a professional and courteous manner. This position involves handling general inquiries, managing ticket sales via various channels including telephone, internet, and over the counter, and addressing customer complaints effectively. The CSR plays a crucial role in supporting daily station operations, which includes cash management, maintaining terminal cleanliness, assisting passengers with luggage, and providing updates about schedule changes or cancellations. This multifaceted role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
The position requires frequent communication with customers, providing details such as destinations served, pricing, departure and arrival times, and directions to the terminal. Additionally, the CSR/Station Attendant assists with luggage handling and ensures the physical environment of the terminal and related facilities meet cleanliness and safety standards. The role also involves administrative duties like preparing cash bank deposits, closing terminal activities, and assisting with visitor management by directing them to the appropriate employees or departments.
Ideal candidates will have at least two years of job-related experience and be bilingual in English and Spanish to accommodate a diverse customer base. The role involves some physical demands, including exertion of heavy lifting and manual tasks. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of experience in customer service or related field
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

Job Duties
- Provide an exceptional customer experience
- Call customers to advise about changes or cancellations of scheduled runs
- Respond to client inquiries including destinations served, pricing, departure/arrival times, and terminal directions while providing outstanding customer service
- Responsible for cash management and compliance
- Operate cash register and/or credit card equipment
- Sell and process ticket orders via telephone, internet, and over the counter
- Responsible for closing the terminal including preparation of cash bank deposits, sales report, and depositing in safe box
- Greet visitors while following procedures in notifying the employee or department the visitor/vendor is requesting to see
- Assist customers with luggage ID tag and transfer to luggage compartment
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with luggage as needed and loading/unloading luggage into the cargo bay
- Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of terminal including sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, window cleaning, and stocking necessary supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms including sweeping/mopping floors, sanitizing sinks and toilets, and restocking bathroom tissue and napkins
- Stock necessary restroom supplies in vehicles
- Assist with cleanliness of driver dorms at certain locations
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
