Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in shipping, logistics or supply chain management
- Freight forwarding knowledge preferred
- Experience with hazardous materials or ISO compliance preferred
- Prior customer service or support experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with transportation management systems preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Physical capability to communicate clearly and operate office equipment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management industry
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, hazardous materials, and ISO standards preferred
- Experience in support or customer service functions preferred
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Experience with transportation management systems and Hillebrand's systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Provide administrative support for inbound/outbound phone calls, emails, and web-based chats/instant messaging related to customer service
- Administer customer requests such as inquiries, orders, service requirements, and complaints
- Receive documents, initiate logging process, and ensure compliance with customs requirements
- Process documents, coordinate cargo availability, arrange pickup and delivery, finalize billing, and distribute documents
- Review daily shipment status reports, ensure measurement standards are met, and report non-conformities
- Maintain and update operational tables, assist with accounting issues, perform requests for quotes (RFQ)
- Align customer, sales, and operations order expectations
- Investigate and resolve chargebacks and shipping discrepancies
- Coordinate customer credits and debits
- Index regional assortments and gather international special projects and exceptions
- Communicate critical operational information to other offices
- Expand current order materials and coordinate with other departments
- Ensure regional offices and sales managers act on critical order conditions
