The Overnight Class A Truck Driver role at LKQ Corporation is a crucial position responsible for the safe and timely transportation of products across state and provincial lines. This position operates primarily during overnight hours, from Monday to Friday starting at 6:00 PM, offering an $80,000 annual salary. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years of commercial driving and warehouse related experience
  • Accredited commercial driving school certificate
  • CDL Class A license (EZ Driver license for Canada)
  • Fully DOT qualified with valid driver’s license and proper endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Meet DOT testing and physical requirements
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Compliance with state, local, DOT and FMCSA regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Accredited commercial driving school certificate
  • CDL Class A license (EZ Driver license for Canada)
  • Fully DOT qualified with valid driver’s license and proper endorsements
  • Knowledgeable of DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Ability to perform basic math operations
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Strong communication skills with ability to keep simple records
  • Capable of following guidelines provided by supervisor/manager
  • Able to prioritize assignments
  • Forklift certification preferable

Job Duties

  • Drive truck to transfer product between locations, wholesaler and drop box locations in outlying markets, transportation of product usually over long distances via interstate/inter-provincial crossing state/province lines
  • Pickup truck at warehouse/cross dock, load truck according to safety standards and ensure product integrity
  • Verify the condition of the truck, manifest and other paperwork associated with delivery
  • Drive to the destination, physically unload truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature confirming receipt and accuracy of parts
  • Make proper notations on manifest or provide credit memos on parts being returned
  • Pick up stock purchase orders or buy out purchase orders from vendors and bring parts back to location
  • Complete check-in process upon return to verify parts and paperwork
  • Turn in paperwork after check-in
  • Comply with established company policies and procedures
  • Initiate and support continual improvement of LKQ's quality improvement program
  • Pass random drug testing as required
  • Successfully complete annual training as assigned
  • Operate in compliance with FMCSA rules and regulations
  • Assume other duties as assigned
