The hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services including emergency care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity care, and behavioral health support. Aiken Regional also emphasizes education by functioning as a teaching facility, supporting local nursing students with the aid of an experienced and committed nursing team.
The role of Critical Care Nurse Manager, RN for the ICU/PCU at Aiken Regional Medical Centers is an important leadership position that ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the intensive care and progressive care units. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for directly supervising and mentoring nursing staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring a consistently high standard of patient care. You will play a vital role in supporting the nursing team by promoting continuous learning, overseeing clinical practice to make sure it aligns with the latest evidence-based guidelines, and collaborating closely with quality and hospital leadership teams on performance improvement initiatives.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall operational effectiveness of the unit, including 24-hour accountability, planning, and execution of both operational and capital budgets in cooperation with the Director of Inpatient Services and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). This role demands strong leadership skills to create a positive working environment and cultivate a culture of safety for both patients and nursing staff. The ideal candidate will help align nursing practices with physician partners’ goals to enhance care delivery and efficiency across the organization.
Aiken Regional Medical Centers, as part of Universal Health Services (UHS), offers a rich array of benefits to Nurse Managers, including sign-on bonuses, tuition assistance, competitive compensation packages, generous paid time off, and excellent medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans. Additional benefits include a 401(k) with company match, discounted stock plans, pet insurance, access to an extensive online learning catalog for continuing education courses, student loan refinancing programs, and ample career development opportunities throughout UHS’s nationwide network and its more than 300 subsidiaries.
UHS, headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is one of the largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services in the United States. With revenues of 13.4 billion dollars in 2022, UHS operates acute care, behavioral health, outpatient, and ambulatory care facilities across the US, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. The organization is widely recognized for its excellence and employee development programs, emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity for all employees and candidates. This collaborative network offers the Nurse Manager career advancement possibilities, including leadership training and education programs tailored to enhance leadership skills and clinical expertise.
