Job Requirements
- u.s. citizenship is required
- possess a current valid driver's license
- carry and use a firearm
- maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory
- be at least age 21 at the time of application and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment unless you have previous federal law enforcement service
- obtain a top secret clearance and retain it during your career
- possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular and corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye
- hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in the 500,1000 and 2000Hz ranges
- submit to drug testing pre-appointment and randomly thereafter
- complete 13 weeks of training at the federal law enforcement training center and 18 weeks at the james j. rowley training center
- sign a mobility agreement accepting assignments anywhere
- certify selective service registration or exemption if applicable
Job Qualifications
- u.s. citizenship
- valid driver’s license
- ability to carry and use a firearm
- obtain and maintain top secret clearance
- uncorrected visual acuity no worse than 20/100 binocular
- corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye
- hearing loss not exceeding 25 decibels in key frequency ranges
- completion of intensive federal law enforcement training
- willingness to sign a mobility agreement
- registration or exemption from selective service if applicable
- age between 21 and 37 or up to 40 with veteran’s preference

- providing protection for various protectees
- conducting criminal investigations pertaining to financial obligations of the United States
- planning and implementing security designs for national special security events
- maintaining firearm proficiency
- accepting assignments anywhere within the United States and overseas
- participating in ongoing training and professional development
- cooperating with other law enforcement agencies
