The University of Cincinnati Police Division is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to perform a professional-level role focused on technical and analytical support within daily police operations. This role requires expertise in the collection, collation, and analysis of a variety of data including crime statistics, arrest records, calls for service, and traffic data. The analyst will support all Division personnel by providing timely and detailed analyses, enabling more informed decision-making and effective problem-solving based on data insights. Responsibilities include designing specialized reports and data visualizations, maintaining critical intranet-based data applications, and automating administrative processes to enhance operational efficiency. The position also involves collaborating closely with both internal law enforcement staff and external agencies, as well as communicating statistical insights to various stakeholders including the media and the public.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in criminal justice, data analysis, or a related field, combined with relevant experience in crime analysis, research, or intelligence analysis. Technical proficiency with numerous programming languages and database systems, including PHP, SQL, Python, and others, as well as familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, is highly desirable.
