Job Description
This job opportunity is with an independent McDonald's franchisee, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds a license to operate McDonald's restaurants using their logos and food products but operates as a distinct legal entity and employer. Consequently, all employment matters such as hiring, firing, scheduling, and staff management are handled exclusively by the franchisee. McDonald's USA has no role in these processes, nor do they receive or review employment applications for this position. This setup ensures that the franchisee maintains full autonomy over the restaurant's operations and employment practices.
The McDonald's franchisee operates multiple restaurants where they emphasize creating a supportive and empowering environment for their employees. This franchisee is committed to providing an inclusive workplace that fosters growth, development, and career advancement through industry-leading educational programs and training. Employees are encouraged to build essential life and job skills, with access to resources such as Archways to Opportunity, which offers high school completion, college tuition assistance, and English language courses. This combination of training and development has earned McDonald's a reputation as one of America's best first jobs, with over 80% of employees expressing pride and satisfaction working there.
The available position is for a Crew Trainer who thrives in a team-focused, fast-paced environment. This leadership role is ideal for experienced McDonald's crew members or shift managers who have demonstrated success and want to take on greater responsibility. The Crew Trainer is responsible for supporting 2 to 4 restaurant locations, playing a pivotal role in training new recruits and coaching veteran employees across various operational areas, including front counter, drive-thru, kitchen, cashier, and guest services.
Key responsibilities also include stepping in as a floating crew member or acting shift manager when certified. The successful candidate must embody McDonald's core principles of quality, safety, and cleanliness (QSC) while exhibiting strong knowledge of the brand's food safety protocols and operational procedures. Leadership by example, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate others are crucial traits for success in this role. Being bilingual in Spanish and English is a valued advantage, though not mandatory.
The franchisee offers a nurturing platform for individuals who show initiative and wish to contribute meaningfully to a growing McDonald's operator organization. This role provides significant opportunities for professional growth and skill development through tailored training programs. Candidates need to be at least 16 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. An outstanding attitude and eagerness to learn and advance within the company are essential to thrive in this role.
This description provides an overview of the franchisee-operated McDonald's Crew Trainer position but is not exhaustive. The actual duties encompass various operational and leadership functions that contribute to the restaurant's daily success. Applying for this role acknowledges the separate identity of the franchisee and clarifies that employment decisions rest solely with this independent operator.
