Job Description

This job opportunity is with an independently owned and operated McDonald's franchise. This franchisee operates the restaurant using McDonald's logos and food products under a licensing agreement, but it is a completely separate company and employer from McDonald's USA. Employment decisions, including hiring, firing, and supervision, are solely managed by this franchisee, which ensures the restaurant delivers an excellent customer experience and maintains the standards expected from the McDonald's brand.

The franchise operates in the fast-food restaurant industry, serving millions of customers with quick, quality meals. Joining this team means becoming part of an energetic and purpose-driven workplace where career growth, education opportunities, and leadership development are encouraged. The work environment is fast-paced and requires flexibility, teamwork, and a passion for customer service.

The position available is for a Shift Manager, a critical role responsible for leading shifts and ensuring that every customer receives a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. A Shift Manager oversees the crew and other managers throughout their shift to uphold McDonald's quality, service, and cleanliness standards. This is a leadership position offering a chance to develop valuable management skills while contributing directly to the restaurant's success.

Shift Managers plan each shift, monitor daily performance, and take proactive steps to meet or exceed the team’s goals. They ensure food safety protocols are followed, maintain internal communication, manage inventory, and oversee daily restaurant cleanliness and maintenance. They are also responsible for crew management, quality food production, exceptional customer service, and safety and security measures. Additionally, scheduling and training team members are essential duties for this role.

Ideal candidates for the Shift Manager position have previous leadership experience, especially within restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments. The franchise values positive, flexible team players who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and can handle multiple responsibilities with energy and enthusiasm. Managers must be at least 18 years old to qualify for the role.

Working as a Shift Manager with this independently owned McDonald's franchise offers competitive pay along with an attractive benefits package that supports professional and personal growth. Employees can enjoy paid vacation days, paid holidays, sabbatical leave opportunities, tuition assistance programs through 'Archways to Opportunity,' and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additional benefits include flexible spending accounts, disability and life insurance, paid leaves of absence, service awards, employee resource connections, adoption assistance, and a matching gifts program.

By joining this franchisee’s team, you gain an exciting chance to build your career in a renowned, globally recognized brand while working close to home with a supportive team environment. Whether you want to advance to higher management or grow your skills through training and education, this position offers a meaningful and rewarding path. If you’re ready to say yes to new opportunities and work with purpose, this Shift Manager role may be the perfect career move for you.
