Job Description
This job opening is for a Crew Team Member position at a restaurant independently owned and operated by a franchisee licensed to use McDonald's branding, logos, and food products. It is important to note that this franchisee operates separately from McDonald's USA and is responsible for all employment-related decisions including hiring, firing, staffing, scheduling, and managing employee matters. McDonald's USA has no involvement in the hiring process or employment decisions for this restaurant location.
The franchisee-owned restaurant provides an environment that values employee growth and development. McDonald's and its independent franchisees are committed to offering opportunities through industry-leading education programs and world-class training designed to inspire confidence and help employees build valuable skills. These initiatives create a workplace culture that encourages employees to thrive, whether they decide to pursue a career within McDonald's or beyond. More than 80 percent of employees take pride in working at McDonald's and would recommend it as a workplace to others.
The Crew Team Member role is more than just a job; it is a chance to develop life skills, work in a fast-paced team environment, and build a foundation for future career growth. Employees in this position are supported with training programs such as Archways to Opportunity, which provides high school completion courses, tuition assistance for college, and English language learning courses. Through these programs, McDonald's empowers its employees to seize educational and personal development opportunities that can open new pathways in life.
A Crew Team Member's responsibilities include connecting with customers and ensuring they have a positive experience, assisting customers with ordering their favorite McDonald's meals, preparing McDonald's world-famous food items, collaborating with fellow crew members and managers to meet daily operational goals, and maintaining a clean, welcoming restaurant environment. Enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well within a team are key attributes for success in this role.
Whether employees seek part-time or full-time work, flexibility in scheduling is offered to accommodate breakfast, lunch, late-night, weekend, or other shifts. Applicants must be at least 16 years old to qualify. The compensation range for crew team members typically falls between $20 and $21.50 per hour, depending on performance, tenure, skills, and availability.
This part-time or full-time role provides a supportive work environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth, making it an excellent choice for those seeking to build a career or gain valuable experience in the restaurant industry. By joining the team, employees become part of a company culture that values training, education, and employee success.
