Job Description
This job opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, licensed to use McDonald’s brand logos and food products. It is important to understand that this franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. All employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are handled solely by the franchisee, and McDonald’s USA does not control or participate in any of these decisions. If hired for this position, you will be employed by the franchisee directly, not McDonald’s USA.
McDonald’s and its independent franchisees prioritize the growth, learning, and success of their employees. They offer industry-leading education programs and world-class training designed to help employees build confidence and acquire valuable skills. These programs are intended to support employees wherever they are on their career journey—whether they remain at McDonald’s or choose to explore opportunities elsewhere. Over 80 percent of employees express pride in working at a McDonald’s franchise and would recommend the workplace to others.
The role of a Crew Team Member at McDonald’s is more than just a job. It is an opportunity to gain life skills and grow personally and professionally. This position is designed to teach employees the value of teamwork and customer service while providing a platform to develop essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. The franchisee is committed to being America’s Best First Job by offering flexible part-time shifts suited to support employees’ full-time ambitions, including breakfast, lunch, late nights, and weekend shifts.
By joining the crew, you will experience a typical workday that involves connecting with customers to ensure they have a positive experience, helping customers order their favorite McDonald’s meals, preparing McDonald’s world-famous food, partnering with other crew members and managers to achieve daily goals, and maintaining an appealing and clean restaurant environment. This role fosters a friendly working atmosphere where teamwork and having fun are integral to success.
McDonald’s also offers the Archways to Opportunity education program, which includes high school completion courses, upfront college tuition assistance, and English language courses. These initiatives exemplify the company’s commitment to employee growth and lifelong learning. The job is ideal for individuals aged 16 or older who bring a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to perform well in a collaborative, fast-moving team setting. While previous experience is not mandatory, the company will provide thorough training to help you succeed.
In summary, this position with a McDonald’s franchisee is an excellent choice for anyone seeking flexible employment with growth opportunities, access to educational benefits, and a supportive team environment. The franchisee's dedicated management team ensures a rewarding employee experience in a globally recognized brand setting, while maintaining the independence necessary to tailor the workplace to local community needs.
