This opportunity is with a unique Jimmy John's franchisee located at 6141 Windhaven Pkwy, Plano, TX. The role available is for an In-Shopper/Crew Member, a foundational position central to the operation of the store. This role requires individuals who are passionate about customer service and can execute their duties with speed and accuracy while maintaining high standards of sanitation and presentation. In-Shoppers are the first point of contact for customers entering and exiting the restaurant, tasked with greeting customers warmly, taking orders, handling cash transactions, and ensuring that each sandwich is made according to strict guidelines for freshness and quality.
Crew Members must show versatility by engaging in various activities, from food preparation to maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant, including tables, floors, windows, beverage stations, and restrooms. Physical stamina is important for this position as it requires standing, walking, sitting intermittently, and occasionally lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds. The role demands adherence to company procedures and appearance standards, emphasizing professionalism and enthusiasm.

Job Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, listen, see close and distant vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work 30-40 hours per week
- Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as business dictates
- Must maintain a professional appearance
- Must pass sandwich tests within first two weeks of employment
- Must be able to follow all company procedures and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to use basic math, addition, subtraction, and understand basic fractions
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude
- Ability to follow company procedures accurately
- Strong customer service skills
- Physical stamina to perform duties
- Previous experience in food service or retail preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Job Duties
- Execute genuine greetings and farewells, take orders, operate the cash register, collect payments from customers, and other cash handling duties
- Make fast, accurate, and consistent sandwiches
- Comply with all portion sizes, recipes, systems, and procedures
- Must be able to pass sandwich tests at the end of the first two weeks of employment and at future testing times
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including all tables, floors, windows, beverage station, and restrooms
- Take telephone orders and complete delivery tickets
- Fill out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity
- Always maintain a professional appearance in compliance with the dress code
- Display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments
- Perform other related duties as required
