The company operates restaurants throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, and it is unique in that it owns and operates every location in North America and Europe, ensuring consistent standards and a personalized connection with its customers. Chipotle is known for its dedication to innovation in digital services, technology, and sustainable business practices, reinforcing its position as a socially responsible and forward-thinking organization committed to making better food accessible to all.
Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a community that values personal growth, career development, and making a positive impact. The company offers an engaging and supportive work environment where many employees start with little to no prior experience but grow into rewarding careers thanks to comprehensive training programs and a clear progression path. In fact, over 80% of Chipotle managers were promoted from within the crew ranks, underscoring the company’s commitment to employee advancement and internal career mobility. Employees receive hands-on training in multiple roles, including cooking, cash handling, prepping, and customer service, ensuring a well-rounded skill set that fosters confidence and competence in any restaurant station.
As a team member at Chipotle, you play a vital role in preparing fresh, hand-made food daily without reliance on freezers, microwaves, or can openers. You help create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the guest experience through excellent customer service and passion for the brand. Regardless of your background—whether you have experience as a dishwasher, cashier, server, host, bartender, cook, prep cook, or are new to the workforce—Chipotle encourages enthusiastic individuals with a desire to learn and grow to apply and be part of their mission-driven team. Employees enjoy competitive pay starting at $16.25 to $17.25 per hour plus digital tips, with actual compensation based on skill, experience, and education, along with a robust benefits package.
Chipotle’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures a workplace where every person is respected and valued. They are an equal opportunity employer that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. Accommodations are available for qualified applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process, demonstrating the company’s pledge to foster an accessible and inclusive environment for all.
This role at Chipotle provides not just a job but an opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven company that truly cares about the future of farming, sustainability, and creating better food experiences. Employees receive numerous benefits such as tuition assistance covering up to 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free meals, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off including holiday closures, digital tip benefits, and competitive compensation. Both full and part-time positions are available, offering flexibility and opportunities for advancement within the organization.
Whether you’re starting your first job or looking to grow your career in the food industry, Chipotle offers an inspiring, dynamic work environment where your contributions matter, you can develop valuable skills, and you become part of a community dedicated to crafting a better world through better food.
