Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned fast-casual restaurant company that has revolutionized the fast-food industry by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food with wholesome ingredients. Founded with a mission to cultivate a better world, Chipotle is committed to transparency, sustainability, and quality in every aspect of its operations. The brand is distinguished by its focus on fresh, hand-prepared meals without the use of freezers, microwaves, or can openers, and by using ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Operating across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle remains unique in owning and operating all of its restaurants in North America and Europe. This control over operations allows Chipotle to maintain the highest standards of food quality, customer experience, and innovation.

Chipotle is also recognized for its leadership in digital innovation and sustainable business practices. They are pioneers in shifting the future of farming and food, which is integral to their brand identity. The company embraces a culture that encourages learning, evolving, and shaping the future of fast food, making a positive impact on consumers, employees, and the environment alike.

The opportunity at Chipotle is designed for individuals eager to start a rewarding career in a vibrant and welcoming environment. With many employees starting just for a paycheck but staying for career growth, Chipotle offers exceptional training programs, a clear career progression path, and a supportive workplace culture. Over 80% of their managers have been promoted from Crew positions, demonstrating the company's commitment to internal growth and employee development.

The Crew Member role is pivotal to the company’s success, involving real food preparation by hand and providing excellent customer service. Crew members receive comprehensive training to confidently work at various stations including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo. This ensures a dynamic and engaging work experience where every team member contributes to creating a friendly atmosphere and memorable customer experiences. This role is open to individuals with diverse backgrounds, including those with experience as dishwashers, cashiers, servers, hosts, bartenders, cooks, prep cooks, or even candidates with no prior experience but who are passionate and enthusiastic.

Chipotle offers competitive compensation in the range of $20.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, and education. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include full coverage for tuition assistance (up to $5,250 annually for select degrees), free meals, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and advancement opportunities. The company values a friendly, enthusiastic attitude and a strong desire to learn and contribute to the team.

As a people-first organization, Chipotle is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace. They encourage applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics. Accessibility accommodations are also available for qualified applicants with disabilities, ensuring equal access throughout the hiring process.
