This role is for an Inshop Crew Member at Jimmy John's, a dynamic position that is at the heart of delivering the company's promise of "Freaky Fast" service. Crew members are responsible for making fast and accurate sandwiches, taking customer orders over the phone and at the register, assisting in product preparation, maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, and other key restaurant tasks. With a fast work pace, crew members are expected to memorize the extensive menu and uphold excellent customer service standards by greeting and thanking every customer with a friendly smile and eye contact. The role also involves handling cash registers and adhering strictly to cash handling and food safety policies. This full-time position requires daytime availability and the ability to work during high-volume lunch periods. Physical demands of the role include regular lifting of 30-40 pounds, standing, bending, reaching, and mobility in refrigerated environments with temperatures ranging from 40 degrees Fahrenheit to -10 degrees Fahrenheit. ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop throughout assigned shift
ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40 degrees F to -10 degrees F

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in fast food or customer service environments helpful but not required
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to memorize menu items quickly
ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
teamwork-oriented mindset
basic math skills for cash handling
