Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a prominent fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to serving responsibly sourced, classically prepared real food made with wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with the mission to cultivate a better world, Chipotle has reshaped the fast-food landscape by focusing on food quality, ethical sourcing, and sustainable business practices. Operating its own restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle prides itself on owning and operating all its locations in North America and Europe, ensuring consistent quality and customer experience. The company is renowned for innovation in the foodservice industry, particularly in digital technology and accessibility, while maintaining a long-standing commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.

Working at Chipotle means joining a company with a strong values-driven culture that emphasizes fairness, opportunity, and respect for all employees. Chipotle is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the workplace and complies with all applicable laws protecting employees from discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, and other protected characteristics. The company also supports applicants with disabilities by offering reasonable accommodations during the hiring process.

The position available is an entry-level team member role at Chipotle, offering both full-time and part-time work opportunities. Employees at Chipotle typically start with expectations of a paycheck but end up building rewarding careers due to the company’s clear paths for advancement. Notably, over 80% of Chipotle's managers began their careers as crew members in similar roles, highlighting the company's commitment to internal promotion and employee growth.

As a team member, you will be trained thoroughly across multiple stations including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo to ensure confidence and competence in your role. Chipotle prides itself on preparing all meals fresh by hand daily, without using freezers, microwaves, or can openers. This hands-on approach means every team member plays an important part in maintaining quality standards and exceptional customer service levels. Team members are responsible for fostering a positive and friendly atmosphere in the restaurant, enhancing the guest experience with enthusiasm and dedication. Previous experience in similar roles or industries is welcomed but not mandatory, as Chipotle encourages passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join regardless of prior work history.

The compensation for this role ranges from $16.75 to $17.75 per hour plus eligibility for digital tips. Chipotle also provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees in various aspects of their lives. Benefits include full tuition assistance for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance options, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive compensation, and opportunities for career advancement. The company truly values its workforce and aims to create an environment where everyone can thrive, learn, and develop meaningful careers while contributing to Chipotle’s mission to make better food accessible to all.
