Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain with a mission to cultivate a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with the vision of changing the face of fast food, Chipotle has set itself apart by focusing on high-quality ingredients and transparent sourcing practices while promoting sustainability and responsible farming. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique in that it owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, which allows it to maintain rigorous standards and foster a consistent customer experience globally. The company is a leader and innovator in the food industry, committed to blending technology and sustainable business practices to make better food accessible to everyone.
At Chipotle, employees are at the heart of the operation, and the company prides itself on creating a workplace where respect and opportunities for growth are fundamental values. Chipotle is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fair employment practices regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. As a values-driven, people-first company, Chipotle fosters a diverse and inclusive environment where all employees can thrive and reach their full potential. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and may receive reasonable accommodations during the hiring process.
The opportunity at Chipotle is far beyond a typical fast-food job. Starting as a crew member, employees receive exceptional training and have access to a clear career path, with over 80 percent of managers promoted from within the crew ranks. The role entails preparing real food by hand daily without the use of freezers, microwaves, or can openers, emphasizing freshness and quality over convenience. Employees are trained to work confidently across multiple stations such as grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment. Team members are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that customers enjoy and expect.
This role welcomes individuals of various experience levels, including those new to the food service industry, as well as those with experience as dishwashers, cashiers, servers, hosts, bartenders, cooks, or prep cooks. The company values passionate and enthusiastic individuals who bring a friendly attitude, a passion for serving others, and a genuine desire to learn cooking skills. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and capable of communicating effectively in the primary language or languages of their work location.
Chipotle offers an array of competitive benefits and perks designed to support employees’ financial, physical, and personal well-being. These include tuition assistance covering 100 percent of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, digital tipping, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive compensation, and flexible full-time and part-time opportunities. The company also emphasizes internal growth, giving employees ample opportunities for advancement within the organization.
Working at Chipotle means becoming a part of a culture that values learning, innovation, and social responsibility. Employees are not just job holders but contributors to a movement aimed at reshaping the future of farming, food production, and fast-casual dining. If you are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and committed to delivering excellent service and real food, Chipotle is an ideal workplace for launching or advancing your career in the fast-food and hospitality industry.
