Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain committed to cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with a mission to change the face of fast food, Chipotle stands out by focusing on quality, fresh ingredients and sustainable business practices. The company operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, being the only restaurant company of its size to own and operate all its restaurants in North America and Europe. Chipotle prioritizes a guest experience driven by passionate employees dedicated to serving better food in a welcoming atmosphere.

At Chipotle, food service is not just about speed; it's about redefining fast food through an exceptional quality of food preparation and customer service. The company emphasizes hand-prepared real food daily, avoiding the use of freezers, microwaves, or can openers in their restaurants. This approach ensures that guests receive freshly made meals with utmost care. Chipotle is committed to continuous learning and evolving, supporting efforts to shift the future of farming and food by initiating conversations and taking action in the food industry.

The Crew Member role at Chipotle offers more than just a job; it offers a pathway to a rewarding career. Many employees who start with Chipotle expecting only a paycheck find themselves growing into leadership roles, with over 80% of managers having been promoted from the Crew. Crew members are trained thoroughly to gain confidence and skills necessary to work various stations including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo. The culture promotes exceptional customer service, teamwork, and a friendly atmosphere that enhances the guest experience.

Crew members come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, whether previously employed as dishwashers, cashiers, servers, hosts, bartenders, cooks, prep cooks, or even candidates with no prior experience. The key is a passion for helping and serving others, a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, and a strong desire to learn how to cook and contribute to a fast-paced food environment. Chipotle welcomes applicants who share these values and are ready to be part of a team that’s making a difference in food service.

The role offers numerous benefits including tuition assistance covering 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance options, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive compensation, and opportunities for both full-time and part-time positions. Importantly, Chipotle values diversity and inclusiveness, providing equal opportunities for all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status, and ensures accommodations for applicants with disabilities.

Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a company committed not only to great food but also to the betterment of its employees and the environment. It’s a chance to work in a dynamic, supportive environment where career advancement is encouraged and personal growth is supported. If you are enthusiastic, customer-focused, and eager to develop culinary skills within a forward-thinking company, the Crew Member position at Chipotle could be your ideal opportunity.
