Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients, free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with a clear mission to transform the fast-food experience, Chipotle emphasizes quality, sustainability, and innovation, operating restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike other restaurant chains of its size, Chipotle owns and operates all its locations in North America and Europe, allowing for consistent quality control and a unified brand vision. The company is recognized as an industry leader in digital advancements, sustainable business practices, and promoting food accessibility for all. With a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive workplace, Chipotle champions diversity and equal employment opportunities, ensuring all staff are respected and valued.
As part of its team, Chipotle is looking for passionate, enthusiastic individuals to join as Crew Members, an entry-level role that offers extensive training and a clear path for career growth. Crew Members are integral to the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, preparing food by hand without relying on microwaves, freezers, or can openers, and contributing to delivering exceptional customer service. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy interacting with customers and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Whether an applicant has prior experience in food service or is new to the industry, Chipotle offers comprehensive training at various stations including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo. The company prides itself on a workplace culture that values enthusiasm, friendliness, and a dedication to quality food and service. Over 80 percent of Chipotle’s managers have been promoted internally from the Crew ranks, highlighting the company's commitment to growth and opportunity for advancement.
Chipotle offers flexible full and part-time positions, competitive compensation, and a range of benefits designed to support employee wellbeing and development. Benefits include tuition assistance covering 100 percent of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance options, digital tipping, paid time off, and scheduled holiday closures. Chipotle fosters a collaborative, inclusive environment where employees are encouraged to learn, evolve, and contribute to the company's mission of making better food accessible to everyone.
Candidates are expected to bring a friendly, enthusiastic attitude, a passion for helping and serving others—both customers and fellow team members—and a strong desire to learn how to cook. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location. Chipotle is committed to providing reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and encourages all qualified individuals to apply regardless of personal characteristics, including race, gender, age, disability, or veteran status. Overall, joining Chipotle means becoming part of a forward-thinking, values-driven organization that prioritizes employee growth, sustainable practices, and high-quality, responsibly sourced food.
