Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a globally recognized fast-casual restaurant chain known for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients and free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded on the mission to cultivate a better world, Chipotle has transformed the fast-food industry by emphasizing food quality, sustainability, and a superior guest experience. The company operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, making it a prominent player worldwide. Chipotle prides itself on being the only restaurant chain of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, allowing it to maintain high standards and consistent quality control.
Chipotle is more than just a restaurant; it is a people-first company deeply rooted in values that extend beyond providing nutritious meals. The company's purpose includes hiring world-class individuals and fostering a culture that champions diversity, ensures equity, and celebrates inclusion. Chipotle is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applications from all qualified individuals regardless of personal characteristics, and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities as required by law.
The Crew Member position at Chipotle is designed as a foundational role that offers more than just a paycheck. It provides a rewarding career path supported by exceptional training and clear opportunities for promotion—over 80% of Chipotle's managers were promoted from Crew positions. This position involves preparing real food by hand every day with no use of freezers, microwaves, or can openers, which underscores the company’s commitment to quality and freshness.
Crew Members receive comprehensive training for various stations within the restaurant, including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo. The role requires a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, a passion for serving both customers and team members, and a genuine desire to learn how to cook. The Crew Member contributes to creating a welcoming atmosphere that customers expect while maintaining high standards of customer service. Whether you have prior experience in roles such as dishwasher, cashier, server, host, bartender, cook, or prep cook—or even if you are new to the workforce—Chipotle seeks passionate and enthusiastic individuals eager to join their team.
Benefits for Crew Members include tuition assistance covering 100% for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive compensation, full and part-time positions, and ample opportunity for advancement. The base pay ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, with actual pay depending on skill level, experience, and education. Chipotle prides itself on maintaining a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages growth and fulfills its mission to make better food accessible to everyone.
