The role at Wendy's, operated by WKS Restaurant Group, is designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service and fast-paced work environments. The position focuses on providing service and guest courtesy that exceed customers’ expectations, emphasizing a "wow! service" experience delivered quickly and in an organized manner. As a full-time crew member, you will engage with customers by greeting them, suggesting sales, and answering product-related questions. Recording customer orders accurately and efficiently is a key part of the role, as is managing customer flow through the serpentine area to ensure a smooth experience. You will be responsible for assembling food orders, serving beverages and desserts, accepting payments, and assisting customers with any questions or complaints. Additionally, the position involves retrieving raw food stock, preparing food items, maintaining clean and orderly dining and service areas, and strictly following all company policies and procedures to maintain safety and quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years old or older
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands
  • Ability to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to lift at least 20 pounds
  • Exposure to high heat and cooking oils
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and simple correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Must have valid Crew Leader or Shift Supervisor Certification if applicable
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • No prior experience or training required

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • Basic knowledge of American money and measurements
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple instructions
  • Ability to handle standardized situations with minimal variables
  • Crew Leader Certification
  • Shift Supervisor Certification

Job Duties

  • Greets the customer
  • Suggestive sale and answer questions about products
  • Records the customer’s order
  • Stages customers in serpentine area to maintain a smooth customer flow
  • Selects requested food items from serving or storage areas and assembles items on serving tray or in takeout bag
  • Serves cold drinks, hot beverages, and desserts

  • Retrieves raw food stock and places at appropriate station for preparation
  • Performs duties to prepare food
