Job Description
WKS Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing multi-concept franchise restaurant developer and operator. With over 300 stores across 17 states, WKS manages a diverse portfolio of well-known brands including El Pollo Loco, Wendy's, Denny's, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Blaze Pizza, and Corner Bakery Café. As a licensed franchisee, WKS is committed to delivering quality dining experiences through its varied restaurant concepts while maintaining high standards for customer service, food quality, and operational excellence. Known for fostering a positive work environment, WKS prioritizes employee growth and development, making it one of the most sought-after employers in the restaurant industry.
Wendy's, under the WKS Restaurant Group umbrella, is a leading fast-food restaurant recognized globally for its fresh, quality food and exceptional customer service. Wendy's mission is to provide service and guest courtesy that exceeds customer expectations, delivering 'wow' service in a fast, orderly, and friendly manner. Employees at Wendy's are trained to uphold high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness, ensuring a pleasant experience for every visitor.
The Crew Member position at Wendy's offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and food service. This full-time role is designed for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy engaging directly with customers. Crew Members act as the frontline ambassadors of Wendy's, greeting customers warmly, suggesting menu items, taking orders accurately, and assembling food items efficiently. The role involves various responsibilities such as serving beverages and desserts, handling customer payments, assisting with questions or complaints, and maintaining organized and clean eating and serving areas.
In addition to providing outstanding customer service, Crew Members contribute to the overall food preparation process and inventory management by retrieving raw food stock and ensuring it is placed correctly at preparation stations. Adherence to company policies and procedures is crucial, as it ensures consistency and safety within the restaurant. Physical demands of the job include standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, and occasionally climbing or crouching, making it well-suited for energetic and active individuals.
Wendy's values team players who can apply common sense, follow instructions, and work effectively in both independent and team settings. Strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and a customer-focused attitude are key traits for success in this role. While prior experience is not required, a high school diploma is preferred. Employees can also pursue Crew Leader and Shift Supervisor certifications to advance their careers within Wendy's and the broader WKS Restaurant Group family.
What sets this opportunity apart is the comprehensive benefits package for full-time Crew Members, including medical, vision, and dental insurance eligibility starting the first day of the month after 30 days of employment. Additionally, there is a 401k plan with up to 4% company match and immediate vesting once an employee completes one year. Paid vacation accrues annually after the fifth year of service. This commitment to employee well-being highlights WKS’s dedication to supporting its workforce beyond just the workday, making it a strong career choice for individuals looking to grow in the restaurant industry.
