This position is within the Wendy's franchise operated by WKS Restaurant Group. Wendy's is a world-renowned fast-food restaurant recognized for its fresh and high-quality menu items, quick service, and inviting atmosphere. The role of a Full-Time Crew Member at Wendy's is critical to ensuring customer satisfaction by exceeding expectations through attentive and courteous service. The crew member is responsible for welcoming customers, taking orders accurately, suggesting menu items, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant.
They are tasked with efficiently managing the flow of customers by staging and organizing orders in the serpentine line to assure smooth service. Preparation of food items is also part of the job along with serving beverages and desserts. Handling payment, addressing customer inquiries or complaints, and strictly adhering to company policies and standards are also essential components. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong communication skills, and value teamwork.
Employment is full-time, and employees become eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance starting the first day of the month after 30 days of employment. Vision and dental plans are also offered with the same eligibility. After completing one year of employment, employees can participate in a 401(k) plan with up to 4 percent company match and immediate vesting. Paid vacation of one week is accrued annually after the fifth year anniversary, accruing bi-weekly.
The job requires no prior experience, though a high school diploma is preferred but not required. Basic language, mathematical, and reasoning abilities are necessary to understand instructions, handle transactions, and perform day-to-day activities. Physical requirements include standing, walking, and handling food and equipment, with the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Job Duties
- Greets the customer
- Suggestive sale and answer questions about products
- Records the customer’s order
- Stages customers in serpentine area to maintain a smooth customer flow
- Selects requested food items from serving or storage areas and assembles items on serving tray or in takeout bag
- Serves cold drinks, hot beverages, and desserts
- Receives payment
- Assists customers with questions or complaints
- Retrieves raw food stock and places at appropriate station for preparation
- Performs duties to prepare food
- Maintains orderly eating and serving areas
- Ensures that he or she follows all company issued policies and procedures
