As a licensed franchisee of Wendy’s, WKS Restaurant Group is dedicated to delivering outstanding dining experiences through its commitment to quality, service, and cleanliness in all its establishments. Known for fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and career advancement, WKS provides exciting opportunities for individuals passionate about the food service industry and customer satisfaction.

This position is specifically with one of the many franchise locations operated by WKS Restaurant Group. The franchise model means that the compensation, benefits, and career progression programs may vary from company-owned Wendy’s locations, providing unique opportunities depending on the franchise structure. The employment type for this position is full-time, offering a stable and rewarding career path for motivated crew members.

The role of a Crew Member at Wendy’s is designed for those who are enthusiastic about customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position emphasizes providing service and guest courtesy that goes beyond customer expectations, delivering the famous "wow! Service" in a fast and orderly manner. Crew Members play a critical role in maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness throughout the restaurant.

Daily responsibilities include greeting customers warmly, making product suggestions, accurately recording orders, and managing customer flow efficiently in the serpentine area to ensure smooth operations. Crew Members also handle product assembly by selecting requested food items from storage or serving areas, preparing food, and serving beverages and desserts to customers. Ensuring a pleasant dining experience extends to maintaining orderly eating and serving areas and assisting customers with questions or complaints to guarantee satisfaction.

In addition to front-of-house duties, crew members participate in back-of-house functions such as retrieving raw food stock and preparing food according to company standards. This dual role fosters teamwork and versatile skill development, allowing employees to gain broad experience in the restaurant industry.

WKS Restaurant Group supports its Crew Members with comprehensive benefits that encourage long-term commitment and personal growth. Eligible employees can access medical insurance starting the first day of the month following 30 days of employment, along with vision and dental plans. A 401k plan with up to a 4% company match and immediate vesting is available after one year of employment, supporting future financial security. Paid vacation time accrues annually after the fifth-year anniversary, allowing employees to balance work and life effectively.

Wendy’s Crew Member positions do not require prior experience or training, making this an excellent entry-level opportunity. While a high school diploma is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must possess essential language skills to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. Basic mathematical skills are necessary to perform tasks such as handling money and measuring food portions accurately. Reasoning ability to follow straightforward instructions and manage standardized work situations is required. Additionally, certifications such as Crew Leader and Shift Supervisor are recognized and can enhance career progression within the company.

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, using hands for handling items, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting objects up to 20 pounds. Employees may encounter heat from grills and fryers and come into contact with cooking oils and other ingredients typical in fast-food preparation. The position requires candidates to be at least 16 years old, with any exceptions requiring authorization from higher management and human resources.
