Job Description
WKS Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing multi-concept franchise restaurant developer and operator with over 300 stores across 17 states. As a licensed franchisee of major brands including Wendy's, El Pollo Loco, Denny's, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Blaze Pizza, and Corner Bakery Café, WKS Restaurant Group offers exceptional dining experiences with a focus on quality, service, and guest satisfaction. Their commitment to excellence and ongoing expansion provide a robust platform for career growth in the restaurant industry.
At Wendy's, one of the flagship brands operated by WKS Restaurant Group, the goal is to provide service and guest courtesy that exceeds customer expectations—delivering a 'wow!' service experience. This role involves working in a fast-paced, orderly environment while maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. As a member of the Wendy's team under WKS Restaurant Group, you will be part of a dedicated crew that greets customers warmly, suggests menu items to enhance their experience, and efficiently records orders to maintain smooth service flow.
The position focuses on multiple facets of the restaurant operation, including food preparation, customer interaction, and maintaining an inviting environment. Responsibilities include staging customers in the serpentine area to ensure optimal flow, selecting requested food items from storage or serving areas, assembling food trays or takeout bags, serving beverages and desserts, and handling payments. Crew members assist customers with any questions or complaints, ensuring prompt and courteous resolution. The role also involves retrieving raw food stock, performing food preparation duties, and maintaining orderly eating and serving areas according to company standards.
This full-time position offers opportunities to gain valuable skills and certifications such as Crew Leader Certification and Shift Supervisor Certification. It requires adherence to company policies and procedures at all times, contributing to a consistent and positive customer experience. The physical demands of the position include standing, walking, handling food and equipment, and occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds. Employees may also be exposed to heat from grills and fryers, as well as cooking oils and other materials commonly used in fast food preparation.
WKS Restaurant Group and Wendy's provide employees with comprehensive benefits designed to support health and well-being. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available, with eligibility beginning the first day of the month after 30 days of employment. Additional benefits include a 401k plan with up to 4% company match and immediate vesting after one year, along with paid vacation accrued bi-weekly after the fifth year of employment. This package reflects WKS Restaurant Group's commitment to investing in their team members' long-term success and satisfaction.
Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, though prior experience is not a requirement. The role calls for strong communication skills, basic mathematical ability for handling money and measurements, and common sense reasoning to follow instructions efficiently. Candidates must be 16 years or older, with no exceptions unless authorized by corporate office and human resources.
Joining Wendy's through WKS Restaurant Group means becoming part of a company that values its employees, fosters opportunities for development, and maintains a positive, customer-focused culture. Whether embarking on a new career or seeking growth in the restaurant industry, this position offers a supportive environment with structured training and advancement opportunities.
