Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned leader in the fast casual dining industry, distinguished by its commitment to cultivating a better world through responsible sourcing and preparation of real, wholesome food. Established as a game-changer in fast-food culture, Chipotle takes pride in serving food that is classically cooked without the use of artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Operating restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out as the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its outlets in North America and Europe. The company is widely recognized for its innovation in digital technology and sustainable business practices, driving its mission to make better food accessible to everyone while championing values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The opportunity at Chipotle is more than just a job – it’s a pathway to a rewarding career. Chipotle offers a supportive and engaging work environment where employees receive exceptional training and clear opportunities for advancement. Impressively, over 80 percent of Chipotle’s managers began their careers as crew members, demonstrating the company’s dedication to internal promotion and career development. New team members, regardless of their previous experience, receive thorough training across multiple stations such as grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo. This hands-on role involves preparing real food by hand every day in fast-paced restaurants, without relying on freezers, microwaves, or can openers.
Team members take pride in delivering exceptional customer service in a friendly atmosphere that customers expect and enjoy. Chipotle welcomes a diverse range of applicants, from those with experience in roles such as dishwasher, cashier, server, host, bartender, or cook, to those seeking their first job. The company values a friendly and enthusiastic attitude alongside a passion for helping and serving others, both customers and fellow team members. Chipotle encourages individuals who are eager to learn how to cook and grow within the company to apply, fostering a culture where every employee’s contribution is meaningful and valued.
Chipotle offers comprehensive benefits including tuition assistance covering up to 100 percent for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive compensation, and both full-time and part-time position opportunities. These benefits support the well-being and growth of team members, reinforcing Chipotle's commitment to providing a workplace that nurtures talent and rewards dedication.
Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a company that does things differently by not only focusing on the quality of its food but also on its people and the wider community. With a sincere commitment to sustainability and inclusivity, Chipotle is a company where employees can build meaningful careers while contributing to positive change in the food industry and beyond.
