The Crew Member position at THE MELT is an integral role focused on providing an "I Love It Here" experience to every guest. This role requires an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about customer service and eager to contribute to a positive team environment. As a Crew Member, you will be the face of THE MELT, responsible for welcoming guests warmly, delivering fast and friendly service, and assisting guests with menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques. You will also be expected to have a thorough understanding of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, ensuring that every order is accurate and meets THE MELT's high standards for quality.
In addition to guest engagement, the role involves upholding restaurant cleanliness and food safety standards. This includes following all uniform and grooming policies, adhering to sanitation requirements, and maintaining clean and well-stocked areas both in front of the house (FOH) and back of the house (BOH). The Crew Member will also be responsible for promoting teamwork by communicating effectively and respectfully with fellow staff members, attending scheduled shifts punctually, and following all policies designed to ensure the safety and well-being of both crew and guests.
THE MELT values candidates who are happy, motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. While prior experience in a restaurant or customer service setting is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement. The ideal Crew Member must be able to handle pressure, multitask efficiently, and maintain a positive attitude throughout their shift. Flexibility in working hours, including peak sales times, weekends, and opening and closing shifts, is essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift between 25 to 50 pounds. Job Duties
- Welcoming every guest with a smile
- delivering fast, friendly and accurate service to all guests
- answering guest questions related to the menu and suggestive selling to help the guest order
- having knowledge of the various guest programs and technology such as Thanx, Kiosk and Online Ordering
- having full knowledge of the menu and ingredients profile for all Melt menu items
- ensuring order accuracy upon guest delivery
- monitoring ticket times to ensure food is delivered within THE MELT’s speed of service guidelines
- following recipes accurately during food prep as well as sandwich builds, salads, soups, sides, and shakes
- following all Melt policies related to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene
- following all food safety and sanitation requirements and practices
- ensuring guest areas such as dining room, restrooms are clean and well stocked at all times
- ensuring your station (FOH or BOH) is clean and well stocked at all times
- following all Crew policies and procedures related to successful employment at THE MELT
- promoting teamwork to achieve restaurant goals
- attending and being punctual to all scheduled shifts
- communicating with fellow crew members in a courteous and respectful manner
- following all safety policies and procedures to eliminate risk of injury/illness for crew and guests
