Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain committed to cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique among restaurant companies of its size as it owns and operates all its restaurants directly in North America and Europe. As an innovative leader in the food industry, Chipotle has a passionate team focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences. The company's mission includes making its food accessible to everyone while advancing sustainability and integrating cutting-edge digital and technological solutions.
At Chipotle, the culture emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, making it a people-first company rooted in strong values. Beyond serving nutritious food, Chipotle fosters an environment that supports world-class individuals and celebrates diverse perspectives across all levels of its workforce. The company strives to provide reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants with disabilities, making the hiring process accessible to all. Chipotle is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a welcoming and supportive workplace.
The opportunity at Chipotle represents more than just a job; it is a gateway to a fulfilling career. Many employees start in entry-level roles expecting only a paycheck but find themselves on clear paths to advancement. Over 80% of Chipotle managers are promoted from within, typically beginning their journeys as Crew members. The team prepares real food by hand daily, with no reliance on freezers, microwaves, or can openers, ensuring freshness and quality. Employees receive comprehensive training to feel confident and capable at various stations including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo. The role focuses heavily on providing exceptional customer service and helping to create the friendly atmosphere for which Chipotle is known.
This position welcomes individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, whether they have worked as dishwashers, cashiers, servers, hosts, bartenders, cooks, prep cooks, or are new to the workforce altogether. Chipotle values a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, a passion for helping others – both customers and team members – and a strong desire to learn cooking skills extensively. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of their work location.
Chipotle offers competitive compensation with a base pay range of $16.25 to $17.25 per hour plus eligibility for digital tips. The company provides full and part-time opportunities along with a generous benefits package including tuition assistance, free food, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and more. These benefits support employees’ well-being and professional growth, making Chipotle a truly rewarding place to work and grow. Join the Chipotle team to be part of an organization that values excellence, inclusivity, and making food better for everyone.
