Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a pioneering restaurant company committed to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With a presence spanning the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out as the only restaurant chain of its size to own and operate all its locations in North America and Europe. This dedication ensures consistency in quality and customer experience across all its venues. Chipotle is a leader and innovator in the foodservice industry, continually evolving to meet modern consumers' demands by championing digital advancements, sustainable business practices, and inclusive company values. The company proudly cultivates a better world not only through its food but by fostering a diverse and equitable workplace where employees can thrive and grow.
At Chipotle, the fast-food industry is being reshaped with a fresh perspective. Unlike traditional fast-food outlets, Chipotle prioritizes preparing meals by hand each day using fresh ingredients without relying on freezers, microwaves, or canned products. This hands-on, craft approach to food preparation enhances the dining experience and aligns with Chipotle's mission to make better food accessible to everyone. The culture at Chipotle goes beyond serving great food; it’s about creating a welcoming and friendly environment for both customers and team members. Employees receive exceptional training and support, enabling them to excel at various stations, including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo.
This role welcomes individuals with diverse backgrounds, whether or not they have restaurant experience. Whether you have worked as a dishwasher, cashier, server, host, bartender, cook, prep cook, or are entirely new to the food service industry, Chipotle offers an inclusive and empowering opportunity. Employees commonly start expecting just a paycheck but quickly discover a rewarding career with plenty of advancement potential. Over 80 percent of Chipotle's managers began their journeys as Crew members, reflecting the strong internal promotion culture at the company.
Positions at Chipotle are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, and the compensation for this role ranges from $19.25 to $20.25 per hour. Beyond competitive pay, Chipotle employees benefit from a robust package that includes tuition assistance covering 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance, access to digital tips, paid time off, and holiday closures to ensure work-life balance.
Chipotle values diversity and equity, championing an inclusive culture where all qualified applicants—regardless of personal characteristics—are welcomed and encouraged to apply. The company also complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and relevant state or local laws, providing reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants during all stages of the hiring process upon request. By joining Chipotle, you become part of a mission-driven organization that prioritizes better food, exceptional guest experiences, meaningful career paths, and a supportive community committed to cultivating a better world.
